This Friday round-up showcases some of the Best Workout Headbands. A dozen of them! These are my favorites, along with your top recommendations!
If you’re like me and have spent WAY too much money on headbands trying to find a style that stays put during workouts, can absorb sweat and not look like you’re walking on to a 1980’s NBA court, then this is the post for you! Not to mention that when the time comes for stocking stuffers, these are great for the gals in your life!
Let’s Rock!
I’ve put together a dozen different headbands that I either use personally, or you recommended through one of my Facebook polls. Thanks for the help!

Off the bat, the best bang for the buck is this 10-pack from Amazon. Great colors, the size is perfect if you have crazy hair like me and they’re less than $2/headband! Also, if you’re a Coach with a kick ass team like mine, this is a great gift when a new gal joins your team!
Thick vs. Thin Headbands
I used to think that only thick (wide) headbands would work for my head. All the thin (skinny) headbands I’d worn just slid right off in 0.00003 seconds. So frustrating! However, I can tell you from experience, that if you have this issue too, but prefer a skinny headband, the material that is under the band makes all the difference!
Skinny Bands
A few years ago I received a Sparkly Soul headband as a gift. First of all it’s sparkly…I’m not into sparkles, glitter or other girly crap like that. But I gave it a try, and guess what? It stayed put through my WHOLE workout! So, in that moment, I became a sparkly person. 🙂 The secret is in the velvet material on the underneath side! They have wide, skinny, funky styles, cool designs, as well as race specific (Boston Strong) and cause designs too.
I also dig these Under Armour and Nike skinny bands. They also double great for ponytail holders when you’re in a pinch!
Thick Bands
These thicker lululemon headbands are great. Comfy, great styles and only $12!
The LuLu Fly-Away Tamer – fly away’s, need I say more?
The super cute Lulu Fly-Away Tamer Luxe
I got a lot of feedback on Under Armour headbands on my Facebook poll. You can find them at TJ Maxx, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and various other sport-type stores.
Current Faves!
I saw an ad for this tri-blend headband from Love Your Melon and it looked comfy. You know, like a headband I’d want to wear to run the kids around, not just workout in. And it is! I have seen people post about the LYM beanies and how comfy they are (which they totally are – I finally picked one up!). Then I jumped to their site and learned more about how much they give back, especially to the fight against pediatric cancer. I’m a lifer now, and you will be too after you snag one for yourself. (Hurry! They keep selling out!).
I recently started wearing bands from Fitness Fox Headbands. Oh my gosh you guys, you must get your hands on one (or four) of these! The gals at FFH curate some of the cutest fabrics. The ones (above) are my current collection. Super comfy, fun fabrics and they offer a buy 3, get 1 FREE with the code FREE4ME!
Dudes Wear Headbands Too
While the main dude in my house is not into headbands, a lot of guys are. I see them all over IG daily. So, I figured, while I’m updating my picks, I might as well include a couple for the men in our lives working up a sweat! These bands can get ya started, they’re just $5
The Multi-Functional Band
I have a few of these and I wear them a couple of different ways. There are a ton of design options, and these headbands can be worn for a lot more than just working out!
Cute Bow Bands
I am adding these bow bands because my daughter thought they were cute and are perfect while she’s growing out her bangs. 🙂
Alright crew, that’s the updated round-up of headbands. From fun, to sporty, to multi-functional. I hope this helped you fund the one(s) that’s right for you!
