Self-Care is a big deal around here. It took me a long time to be “okay” with making time for myself after I had kids. Know the feeling?
As you visit, and I hope you will often, I hope to share with you ways you can make yourself a priority with the dreaded mom guilt. Ugh.
We’ll talk about nourishing your body, mind and soul. Finding your passion (again), and channeling it to do things that are fulfilling for you holistically. This may or may not involve doing things with your family. Don’t get me wrong, I am madly in love with my family, I enjoy doing things with them, but if I’m being honest, there are some things that I enjoy doing by myself or with my girlfriends.
I want to encourage you to pick up this book, Present Over Perfect. It is a book that I have throughly enjoyed and feel much more centered after every chapter. It is in the Christian, and I guess “self-help” category, and if you know me, you know I’m not the most religious person, but I believe in personal development and growth 100% and I’m open to books that have a more religious message as long as I don’t feel “preached” too. You may or may not relate to that. But I digress.
If you have a hard time making time for yourself, start with reading 10 minutes a day, and then we’ll build from there!
Xo, Tiff
