Welcome to Friday Favs! This may or may not happen weekly, but when it does, rest assured, what I’m sharing are items or resources I’m in love with and that I want you to have in your life too!
Hope you enjoy a few of these fun faves of mine. I only pick items I love and use, so you can trust that they will not disappoint! We do share affiliate links and make little income when you buy items, this way I can keep trying new things and sharing them with you!
Let’s get to it!
Fitness/Home Gym Must-Have
You may have seen these guys last year in my 2016 holiday shopping guide. As I’ve started back up with PiYo this week, I’m remembering how much I love them! Great fit, great grip, great price!
Personal Development
I’m Tiffany, and I’ve fallen in love with personal development. 🙂 When I first heard those two words, I immediately ran in the opposite direction. Once I realized it wasn’t all about gushy self-help that I’d seen in the movies and actually about improving every avenue of my life and business, I was all in!  I read The Go-Giver earlier in the spring. Ah-ma-zing! I think I highlighted something on all by 10 pages throughout the book. One of my favorite take-aways was, “Fifty-fifty is a losing proposition…” I found this to be profound and unbelievably true, first of all in my marriage, and making the shift from a 50/50 mindset, which I thought was winning, to 100/100. Think about it. You’ll agree, it’s a much better way to go.  It also applied to my online fitness business. I can’t give to my clients 100% and only get 50% effort from them and there be an expectation that incredible transformations will happen. We both have to be all-in. Not every day, we live in the real world, but self-motivation will take us a long way.
Meditation
It’s no secret that I am a terrible sleeper (case-in-point it’s 11:07 pm as I type). A couple years ago, a girlfriend of mine suggested I look into guided meditation. I had read books and tried to practice basic meditation and mindfulness to decompress, but never to put me to sleep. So, I did a quick Google search and then found an unlimited amount of videos on YouTube. It took me a while to find a couple of guides that I could listen to without getting annoyed, and it worked like a charm! For real, we’re talking asleep in under 20 minutes! I mix it up now between guided and music, but rarely got to bed without “plugging into the Matrix” as my husband and I joke.
Mindfulness for Beginners is a great place to start, and then these are a few of my favorite videos to listen to. I am always interested in what works for you too!
This was my first guided meditation, I still revisit it every few months.
Can’t shut your brain off at night? Me either…
This is my go-to music meditation.
Have a great weekend!
