We all know it’s the most wonderful time of the year! And for those of you who have hard-to-buy-for fitness and food fanatics in your life, I hope these 12 ideas give you a few fun and different items to spoil your friends and family with!
Let’s kick it off with these fun cookie cutters for your hardcore yogi! You’ll have to pick them up individually, but for real, how cute are these?
Every one of my fit friends has a shaker bottle, but one (or three) is never enough! This Blender Bottle + GoStack combo is definitely a fav of mine!. The GoStack is perfect for snacks, a scoop of protein powder, supplements, snacks and did I mention snacks? 🙂 There are lots of great color options too!
I’ve looked at these embossed rolling pins a dozen times and I think they would be such a cool gift for your favorite baker. I’m actually kicking myself for not ordering around Black Friday/Cyber Monday when they had a set of 3 on sale. They ship from Poland, so not sure what the actual in-hands timing would look like, but if it won’t work out for Christmas, definitely keep this in your back pocket for a birthday or anniversary.
One of my favorite fitness programs is PiYo, and if you’ve ever done it, you know that you sweat! I got a pair of ToeSox in my fall FitFab box and fell in love immediately. No more slipping or poor form as I do the different yoga and pilates moves on my mat! They’d be a great stocking stuffer or just a perfect small gift under $20.
Now if you are in the mood to splurge, an Apple iWatch is the item! I’m not sure about you guys, I do like my FitBitHR and that it can function as a watch, but some days it feel silly to wear both, a watch and my FitBit, as I still like wearing my dress watches for work. I love this color combo (as I’m kinda obsessed with rose gold currently). I also found out that you can get a certified refurbished watched for a couple hundred bucks less than buying brand new.
This next item is my meal prep must have. There are tons of options to choose from, but I prefer the triple compartment prep containers so I have a place for veg, protein and either a clean carb or healthy fat. This helps me portion things out, although they all often get combined depending on the meal. Easy to store, microwave safe and super reasonably priced. If you’re at all serious about making a healthy lifestyle change and getting into meal prep, then pick-up a set of these today!
Now, I love coffee. Some days I think I need it, other days, I just simply want to enjoy a cup while I blog or read a book and sip away. I also love tea, mostly in the evenings to help me unwind or warm up. When it comes to coffee I don’t always want to make a full pot, either a single serving or a French Press will do the job. Enter the tea kettle. I retired my stove top kettle a while ago and recently started looking for alternate methods that would be faster, I mean who wants to wait around on water to boil on the stove? Ha! Here’s an awesome electric tea kettle option.
As a working mom who has some travel here and there, one thing I always wish I had on me was a foam roller. It just feels good to help get the tension out of your legs and back after sitting on planes or in meetings or if you’ve been walking a ton. Now, traveling with a foam roller is not the easiest thing to do. There are some mini version that you can get into a carry on without much of an issue, and they will totally do the job, but when I came across The Morph foam roller that can be flattened and not take up an awkward amount of space, I thought it was brilliant! You have to pre-order as they started via Kickstarter, and it’ll run you about $80, but if you’re willing to wait for it to be available, I think it’ll totally be worth the investment and wait. In the mean time, this is a great 2-in-1 roller option with a carrying case. If you take out the inside roller, you can easily travel with the outer roller and pack things inside it in your suitcase.
I had never considered using one of these olive oil sprayers until I saw it used on an episode of the 21 Day Fix cooking show. I thought, what a great idea for salad, or when you’re roasting veggies, especially something like kale, and don’t want to drown your food in EVOO. I know this is not a new gadget or concept, but I’d also never really seen a use for one until I actually saw how it was used.
Now you know I can’t give you a list without a few self-care items too. Over the past year I have become a major believer in essential oils. From helping with my depression and anxiety to sleep support and when I need a natural pick-me-up in the late afternoon. I am also looking to EO’s more for my family as a whole when it comes to treating allergies, colds and tummy issues. The brand I use the most is doTerra, but I am also giving Young Living oils a try too. Both are high quality oils and you want to ensure you’re using therapeutic grade oils when you do purchase for your family. Also, be sure to read and understand how they should be diluted when using them on children. Here are two of my favs, the doTerra Family Physician Set and oil diffuser (which has seven therapeutic colors). I have one of these at work and in Nolan’s room (I have two other types in my room and our family room…yep, they’re everywhere!).
2. Neutralizes electromagnetic radiation (although I am not 100% sure what that means yet)
3. Reduces allergy and asthma systems
4. Increases energy levels
5. Reduces stress and helps prevent depression (double win in my book!)
6. Purifies bacteria from the air
7. Relieves migraine headaches
8. Increases focus and concentration
9. Creates a Feng Shui vibe
10. Allows for better sleep
I hope you have a wonderful holiday and find a fun item or two to buy for yourself or loved one this Christmas.
xo, Tiff
